Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost?
  There are NO setup fees and NO monthly costs. You only pay a percentage on the payments collected. At the end of each month, i-subs electronically transfers all fees collected into your club's account after deduction of our charge which is only 5.5% plus VAT and includes both our processing fee and the Credit Card transaction fee.
What are the benefits?
Your bank transaction charges are reduced because you only receive one payment each month. Members can purchase regalia and renewals online without finding an envelope, finding a stamp, finding a mail box - you know, all those things we 'put off til tomorrow'. Overseas members save all the hassle of international postage rates and currency problems. You can make new items available for sale at any time without waiting for the next newsletter.
How long do I have to join for?
There's no small print in the agreement. If you're not happy, we're not happy! If the system isn't working for you, it's not working for us! With no setup fees or monthly costs, there is nothing to lose in giving it a try.
Our membership runs from a fixed date
No problem! The system can deal with memberships which are timed to the anniversary of joining and those that work to a fixed renewal date. For fixed renewal dates, you may currently offer a reduction as the year progresses; i-subs handles this transparently and offers the new member the current 'deal'.
What happens when an order is placed?
When an order is placed, the member receives an automatic email confirming their purchase. A second automatic email is forwarded to the club with the details of the purchase. i-subs will debit the member's credit card within approx 24 hours.
We like to collect extra information from new members
Simply let us know what extra information you require and the system will present the questions in the checkout. You will receive all this information in your order notification email.
We have a number of overseas members
i-subs is very good at dealing with overseas members. Most clubs find it difficult to keep overseas members because of the inconvenience of dealing with foreign currency etc. Using i-subs, members can dial up for the cost of a local call wherever they live (free to some lucky folks) and use their credit card. It does not matter what currency they use or what time zone they are in because your shop stays open 24 hours a day and i-subs charges them in UK Sterling and transfers UK Sterling to your club's account.
We do/don't have a club website
If you have a club website, we provide you with a simple link to place on your website to direct members straight into your 'order pad' on i-subs. If you don't have a web site, simply mention www.i-subs.co.uk in your club magazine.
What about security?
i-subs employs a 128-bit SSL connection to ensure that members' personal information including credit-card details are totally secure. Member information is kept confidential, is NEVER passed to any third party and is NOT used for any other purpose.
